Final Year Project

The website's content is database driven, with a content management system available to update the content of most pages. The website was created as part of my Final Year Project at University, and was fully documented, including identifying process models, web methodologies, user and competitor analysis, design documentation, through to testing the final implementation.

War Film World

The website was built as part of a module called 'Design For Usability'. The website was designed to be accessible to the highest level possible, and passed Level 3 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, in all but 2 areas. This site was fully documented along its analysis, design, and testing phases. Consideration throughout the project was given to users with poorer motor control, colour blindness, and low vision. All of these fed into the final design which includes an option to increase text size, and change the colour scheme of the website.

Family Entertainment Centre

The 'Family Entertainment Centre' was made to demonstrate a number of skills using Flash and ActionScript. Demonstrated skills include embedded flash movies, drag and drop controls, text input control, volume control, mouseover effects, list selection, and button controls to trigger different actions within the 'Family Entertainment Centre'. The File Formats video from the Flash movie has been removed due to its large file size.

T & M Digital

Launched in 2000, T & M Digital has been used to help evolve and practice my skills over the past decade. Currently it is being targeted at users wanting to protect their computers against spyware and viruses. The site is scripted in PHP, the content is dynamic and pulled from a MySQL database. The site uses Google Analytics to help understand the audience and further develop the website to their needs.

College TV Advert

The video was produced as part of a team assignment to create a 30 second advert for ICT at college. The footage was acquired from filming at multiple locations around the college, and then later edited using video editing software, Adobe Premiere. The cloud footage at the start, for example, was acquired by filming the sky for a set period of time, then speeding up the footage to give the effect seen, when editing the video.

File Formats Video

A simple video edited together to specification, sampling a number of transitions. Taken from the original Family Entertainment Centre Flash movie.
